Private sectors allowed to establish gas industries

KATHMANDU, Jan 10 - Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the sole distributor of petroleum products in the country, Saturday announced to allow private sector to establish gas industries at places with high demand.
The NOC made such announcement on its 39th anniversary by publicising its future strategies today.
It also assured effective implementation of the relief programmes, which are in the making to benefit students and families with low-income.
The NOC said that it has planned to provide additional services claiming the load shedding has increased the demand for the petroleum products.
About 2,500 dealers are associated with the NOC and some 1,200 tankers are currently in use for the supply.
